As the senior student entered through the double doors of the club, he was immediately struck by the sudden temperature change of the air. There were a few vents around the area but, nevertheless, the strong warmth burned Lesley Simmons' nostrils as he breathed in a large amount of the humid air, causing him to rub his nose, gently. Even though it was a bit much, the young man was more than grateful for the warmth sinking into his chilled skin, compared to the cool breeze, which insisted on nipping at his delicate features, outside. Les despised the cold wind more than anything. The only good use for it was when the sun was blazing down on everyone. It was well after dark now, so it was obvious the sun wouldn't be able to save him anytime soon.
Like circlets of June sky, the young man's light blue orbs drifted over the dance floor and then the bar, glowing with curiosity as he studied the few people who were already seated at the bar. Noticing that there were only a few, Les assumed it was a bit early to go clubbing and that mostly everyone were probably getting ready by now, considering there were usually groups of people in the club, chatting loudly between each other. This particular young man wasn't the type to head straight for bed when it got late. He would much rather spend his time wisely instead of wasting it sleeping. Of course, if Les ever needed to catch up on a bit of sleep, he would. But he wouldn't lay around in bed, waiting to fall asleep. He would only go to bed if he felt as if he was about to pass out. Besides, Les couldn't sit in one place for a long period of time, or lay for that matter.
After examining the room a bit longer, and allowing the warmth to soak into his pleasantly creamy skin, the eighteen year old moved away from the doors and deeper into the club. Considering he was eighteen, he carried a fake I.D. on him wherever he went. He knew probably about one third of the people there were under-aged and had a fake I.D. on them., it wasn't like Les was the only one. Who didn't these days? He was clad in a simple white Polo - the collar popped, of course - and a pair of somewhat loose fitting blue jeans, the material scratching together as he moved toward the bar. As he neared the somewhat empty bar, Les pulled out a few bills and his fake I.D. from his black leather wallet, before settling himself on one of the barstools. He averted his gaze to the cocktail waitress, then flashed a devious smirk, taking a glance at the plastic card he held in his hand, which declared he was three years older than his actual age.
As the cocktail waitress began to move to wards him, Les shifted his weight on the barstool. He set his elbows on the bar, making a loose fist with one hand so he could rest his cheek on his closed hand. He kept his devious smile, locking his blue eyes with her emerald eyes, as she looked at the I.D. he had, gave him the once over and then smiled, "What can I get you, hun?" she finally questioned him, which was normal considering he had pulled this stunt numerous times. This caused his smirk to grow into a slanted grin, "Scotch on the rocks, thanks love." he gave her a slight wink before turning his attention to the dance floor, again, as the she went to make his drink. Les could already tell that tonight was either going to be extremely good, or horrible. It wasn't going to land anywhere in between - it never did.

This was the place to be. The brightly colored dance floor, flashing underneath the feet of swaying dancers. Bodies were close and tight as the bass echoed in the ears with a steady thump thump thump thump. People were laughing, voices muffled under the heavy sound of the music as brightly colored drinks were passed around to the celebs, even if they were underaged. There was no under age in this world. Outside of the thumping club the sky was a darkblue, bright silvery stars glittering but the moon was no where to be seen. Teens were stumbling out of the club as young adults weaved there way in. One tall brunette stuck out in particular, young Avalon Monroe.
The seventeen-year-old girl was strutting down the street, the sidewalk was her runway. Her black cocktail dress hugged her curves tightly and accentuated her petite physique. This girl could easily have been mistaken for a model, with her long slender legs and sharp facial features. Actually, she had modeled for her mothers company on several occasions. Unfortunately, she hated her mothers critism of her body. Ava swore to herself she would never model for her mother again.
Ava arrived at the entrance to the club, cutting her way towards the front of the line. She ignored the glares from those standing in the line as she walked right into the club. Age meant nothing here, it was all about money and power. She was only seventeen after all, not even legal yet.
Tugging at a loose strand of her brunette tressles Ava’s green orbs scanned the faces within the club. Damnit…where was Kit and Lex? Kit and Lex her two bestfriends, her partners in crime. Of course Kit seemed to have gained a conscience lately, mostly it was just her and Lex now.
Ava moved swiftly towards the bar and leaned on it slightly, her eyes still focused on the door. “Grey goose martini, please.” Her voice was void of all enthusiasm.

It was a Saturday night. The streetlights were on, and anybody looking at the club from a distance would be dazzled by the array of lights coming from the building, all bright and advertising what they were on top of. That was what Les liked about the club, it felt welcoming in a snazzy sort of sense, except to those who were underaged, of course. But it's not like that stopped anyone from coming in. Going out on a Friday night was not usually his thing, considering he enjoyed relaxing at home every once in awhile. He had also noticed that the television on Fridays was always much better than it seemed throughout the rest of the week, and he much prefered relaxing on his comfy couch with a beer or two rather than going out, getting wasted and then having the worst hangover ever the next morning. It was hardly like he was ever alone anyway; seeing as he was friends with a good crowd and he met quite a large handful of people when he was attending parties or clubbing as well.
The only thing that Les hated - dreaded, in fact - about staying home was when his mother was home. Even though the two are quite close, Lesley's mother always has something to nag about to him, whether it's about him or not. And even then, when it's not about him, he still finds her complaining extremely annoying. He only stayed quiet as long as he could possibly stand her voice and the nall hell would break loose. Sounds like fun, huh?
Maybe that's why he was out tonight because he wasn't in the mood to deal with his family at the moment. Or maybe he was just feeling lonely and needed to get laid. Les himself wasn't even sure what the exact reason was; he had just had the urge to actually go out and have a good time - whether he remembered it or not. Which was why, two hours later after he had showered, shaved and got changed, he was outside the familiar club, one of the best nightclubs here.
After gulping down the rest of his beverage, he asked for another and was determined to allow this one to last longer than the one before it. Although, he couldn't help but take the first sip almost as soon as he received it. His light blue eyes drifted over the people situated at the bar, talking amongst themselves or just sitting, quietly, alone, like Les was, sipping at their drink every so often. Although, his attention was soon grabbed by the figure of a brunette - an attractive brunette, at that. He caught her eye and smirked, debating on whether or he should move beside her. Why not? It wasn't like there was anything against having a normal conversation. So, after taking a swig of his drink, Les slipped off the stool he had been sitting on and moved over to the seat beside the blond, setting his drink on the bar in front of him, "Hey, you looked to be alone so I thought you might want some company.." he stated, by way of greeting, flashing his pearly whites in a slanted grin, "I'm Lesley, by the way, but just call me Les."

Maybe Kit and Lex weren’t even planning on showing up. How could they not want to go out on a Saturday night? Especially Lex, he was always here. Perhaps he was already here and gone, leaving with two ladies. That wouldn’t surprise Ava at all.
Boredom set over her, maybe she should just go home. Call up Charlie and go over to his place. Maybe watch a movie and eat some popcorn. But then again, she was in the mood for something a bit more exciting. Maybe she should be daring tonight and stop by Kain’s house. Wouldn’t that be rather scandalous? She did love Charlie, there was no denying it. She hated any other girl being around him. But then again, she couldn’t help but feel attracted to his best friend.
Struggling with her inner turmoil Avalon took another long drink of her martini, finishing off the cocktail. That was how she always dealt with her problems, drinking her sorrows away. Well it was either that or throwing it all up in the washroom…but that would probably come later. Setting her empty glass down something caught her eye. Actually, a male caught her eye.
He was only sitting a few seats down from her at the bar. He too was alone. Without really thinking about it Ava suddenly realized she had made eye contact with this stranger. Somehow he looked rather familiar to her. Ordering another drink for herself Ava took another long gulp as she smirked as the guy situated himself closer to her.
Ava cradled her drink in her hand as she repositioned her self as the guy sat next to her. Crossing her long slender legs Ava leaned against the bar, “Doesn’t look like I am alone anymore and I never say no to good company.” A small smirk crawled across her lips. “Well Les, I am Avalon.” Maybe tonight would turn out to be rather decent after all.
“So Les, do you come here often?” Ava asked rather puzzled as she crossed her arms, “You do look rather familiar to me.”

He wasn't the type of guy to hang around clubs all night, scoping out which girl he would probably be able to win over the easiest - that was just too creepy, even for him. But that didn't necessarily mean he would pass up the opportunity, if it was given to him, to spend the night with a lonely chick. Lesley was a gentleman, but he was still a guy, remember. And everyone knows that guys can only hold off on sex for so long. There was only so much a guy could do to keep him occupied before his wants and needs decided to take over his senses. "Doesn’t look like I am alone anymore and I never say no to good company." Her voice matched the way he thought she would sound, perfectly - elegant and beautiful - it suited her. "That's good." Les said, simply, with a slight nod as he brought his glass of scotch to his lips absentminded, the alcoholic beverage giving him a slight tingling feeling as it traveled down his throat. "Well Les, I am Avalon." Lesley's blue eyes left her gaze for moment, as he set the glass back down on th ebar table, and then returned to her gorgeous eyes, his lips wrapped in a smile, "Nice to meet you." He shifted in his seat, slightly, lowering his arm to rest on the bar.
Her name was still on his mind, it was familiar to him, no doubt. But he just couldn't think of where he had heard the name before. It was beginning to bug him, actually, until his memory suddenly seemed to decided to work, again. Avalon, Avalon Monroe. Yes, he had heard of her. She went to the same school he did. How he knew her name but didn't know her, however, was the most difficult thing for him to grasp, considering he wasn't one to know of a gorgeous girl and not at least introduce himself. Perhaps it was because a friend of his might of mentioned her name before? Or maybe he heard her name over the P.A. system at school? Who knew, all he cared about was that Avalon was a name he recognized, and probably wouldn't forget. "So Les, do you come here often? You do look rather familiar to me." Her voice broke through his thoughts as his attention immediately returned to her. That particular question caused a devious smirk to cross his lips as he leaned in closer to her so he wouldn't have to project his voice as much as he usually would over the loud music, "Yeah, I do. But I'm pretty sure we go to the same school, too." he simply stated before grabbing his glass and taking another drink of the cold scotch.
So, he could definitely see this going somewhere, or so he seemed to hope, already. Whether he would remember or not, that was a different story. But, of course, Les wouldn't forget the name Avalon, so he highly doubted that he would forget anything else. By the way things were going so far, he was positive that something was bound to happen, whether it be simple dance and a trade of digits, or a classic one night stand. His curious eyes couldn't contain themselves for much longer, and soon wandered along her slim figure, casually giving her the once over before averting his gaze to glass and then back to her eyes. Lucky for Les he decided to drop by the club tonight because Avalon was quite the beauty.

Now Avalon was actually the type to hang out at clubs all night. Often she didn’t find herself leaving till 3 in the morning, then leaving to go to the after party in the hotel pent house. Lex was always able to get the most amazing penthouse suits. All of course without her boyfriend. Truth be told, it was amazing to Avalon how Charlie took her back time and time again. Now, I wouldn’t exactly call Ava a slut. Lets just say she had serious problems staying faithful.
Avalon broke eye contact with Leslie for a moment to find that another beverage had been placed in front of her. Her mother insisted she had a drinking problem, what did her mother know anyways. She took a smaller drink this time, absorbing the taste of the liquid courage. Breathing in slowly Ava had no problem feeling the three previous drinks effects.
His name raced through her memories as she tried to place it. Leslie, it sounded so familiar. She nodded placing him, “Yes from Davis, right?” It was a mystery to Avalon how she hadn’t been formally introduced to this particular male before. He definitely was easy on the eyes. Perhaps they ran in different social circles. Actually, that would explain a lot. Avalon was never one to socialize outside of her group of friends. How could she not resist talking to this handsome stranger tonight. It was quite obvious of his toned physique beneath his shirt. Ava could easily picture herself tracing her fingers along his chest. Perhaps this night wouldn’t be so lame after all.
“Now, why do you think it is that we have never met before?” She shifted her body closer to his, leaning in for his response. “I think its a shame, that we haven’t met until now.” Ava absentmindedly traced her finger along the edge of the bar as she looked up at Leslie.

The lighting in the club, mainly the strobe lights, reflected off of his light blue eyes, causing them to glimmer slightly as he focused his gaze on the girl seated beside him, "Yes from Davis, right?" A smirk slowly crossed Lesley's slightly roughened features, the edges of his lips curving from her response., "Yeah, good ol' Davis." he replied with a slight nod of his head. It was obvious to him that she didn't mind his company, which made him feel even more comfortable and relaxed with the situation. Even though it may have seemed Les knew exactly how to win over a lady, he wasn't anything special considering he has had his fair share of rejections. Rejection wasn't something he took harshly, but he wouldn't end up very happy with the out come either. Indeed, he wasn't too fond of rejection, but then again, who was? Thankfully, Les was quite mature, he wasn't the type of guy to be driven mad by rejection and start causing a scene by flipping out. He would simply nod in an understanding manner and then leave the girl alone. Simple as that.
His attention soon returned to the drink he had almost finished, craving the alcoholic beverage. He grasped the glass with one of his hands, bring the rim to his lips, and tipped the glass slightly so the liquid slowly poured into his mouth. Les wanted to savor the last of his drink just because he wanted to limit the amount of alcohol he drank, for tonight anyway. Once the glass was finally empty, besides that one small drop lingering at the bottom, the young man's gaze flicked back to Avalon as she shifted her position in her seat. Of course, he couldn't help but smirk at her playful actions, "Now, why do you think it is that we have never met before? I think its a shame, that we haven’t met until now." Les revealed his pearly whites with a slanted grin as she spoke. He pondered over her question for a moment before speaking, "I'm not entirely sure, but there must be a pretty good reason. It is a shame, we'll just have to catch up with the time we've lost." he replied while flashing a smile, which was followed by a slight wink after he finished speaking.
It was only then that the alcohol started to set in, causing him to feel a bit dizzy for a few seconds. It was a good thing he decided to limit himself earlier, considering if he had gone over the limit Les would probably be swaying a bit by now. Of course, he would make the excuse that he was only swaying to the music but he knew that probably wouldn't have worked. Breaking the gaze he held with her for a moment or two, Les turned his head to view the dancefloor. It seemed tightly packed with swaying bodies dancing with the beat of the music. It looked fun, and he thought it was about time he lingered away from the bar for a bit, just so he wouldn't continue getting more drinks. He returned his attention to Avalon, his lips wrapped in a devious smirk, "Feel like dancing?"

Avalon tapped her foot for a moment contemplating dancing. She did love dancing of course, those years of ballet classes sometimes paid off. Dancing was definitely one of her passions and this guy was definitely easy on her eyes. But then again, how happy would her boyfriend be? Well…what he did see wouldn’t hurt him.
“Would love to!” A small smile crept across her face as she took his hand in her petite grasp. Perhaps a bit to casually, considering the fact she did have a boyfriend. “Lets go”, Avalon lead Les out towards the dance floor. It was tightly packed and bodies were shifting in all directions. It would be easy for someone who was completely hammered to get disorientated once on the dance floor.
Avalon could feel the adrenaline pumping through her system. There was definitely something invigorating about having the nerve to go to the bar alone, and of course meeting a totally cute boy. Wait till she told Kit about this tomorrow. Actually, perhaps that wouldn’t be the greatest idea. She always gave her some sort of lecture about ‘staying faithful’ to Charlie. Perhaps Lex would be a much better gossiping partner.
The music began pulsating its way through Ava, and she couldn’t help but sway her body along to the music. “Do you come here often?” She rested her hand on his sholduer as she spoke to him. Her face probably a little too close to his ear.
